Department of Military Medical Service Organisation and Management
Teaching
The department’s primary aim is to pass the knowledge on to students, develop their habits and skills to fulfill basic tasks and duties arising from their planned command functions. Subject areas covered are: Military history, management, crisis management, psychology, military tactics & logistics, sapper, military communication and NBC Defence.
The subject „Organization and Tactics of the Medical Service“ introduces students with the terms and conditions of medical service during the wartime and in foreign operations, identifies tasks and principles of medical support and medical C2 issues that are fundamental to comprehension and correct application of knowledge in terms of other military medical branches. Familiarizes students with the principles followed from NATO documents and standardization agreements. The subject of “Disaster Medicine” passes on the knowledge of the principles of organization and actions of the various rescue services in terms of major accidents and disasters.
This department is involved in preparation of medical personnel prior to deployment. Department provides the knowledge and passes previous experience on to control authorities and executive facilities of medical services in crisis, war or other emergency situations as well as in humanitarian missions. It applies the knowledge of military subjects to specific environment of medical service, respecting both military principles and requirements as well as the principles of International Humanitarian Law.
To execute practical training, the department features a dedicated classroom „training station“ and classroom with interactive whiteboard „smart board“, which enable with the use of computer technology credibly simulate the conditions of work and decision-making processes of military medical personnel in the field. The Department is an expert guarantor of education in the field of military medical service organization and management.
