Continuing the efforts to optimise military healthcare, the Faculty of Military Health Sciences at the University of Defence hosted a workshop from November 27 to 29, 2023, in Prague’s culturally rich and historically significant city. This workshop delved deeper into applying human factors and medical insights tailored to the military environment. Furthermore, it was conducted with the ongoing research project of the NATO Science and Technology Organization (STO) Human Factors and Medicine (HFM) Panel, emphasising the practical implementation of research findings.

1. Conceptual Framework Development: The workshop aimed to establish a robust conceptual framework for value-driven military healthcare. Participants worked towards defining actionable strategies prioritising value delivery in healthcare services within the military context.
2. Soldier-Centered Care Definition: A key focus was developing a conceptual definition of soldier-centered care, emphasising the importance of tailoring healthcare services to meet military personnel’s unique needs and challenges.
3. Outcome-Oriented Approach: The workshop identified specific areas of work related to medical outcomes, outcome measures, and data collection methodologies. This outcome-oriented approach aims to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of healthcare delivery within military settings. 

Through a collaborative effort between academia, military healthcare professionals, and the NATO STO HFM Panel, this workshop served as a platform for translating research insights into actionable strategies, ultimately enhancing the quality of healthcare services for military personnel.
